This multidimensional piece portrays a light source at the top of the canvas, with light rays and light waves emanating and rippling outwards to spread light to those around. This piece celebrates the theme of a beacon of light in a dark place as the light source represents each one of us as individuals, being placed on this earth to shine our light and share our love and gifts and talents with those around us. For some, this world is a very dark place, seeming to become darker and darker with each passing day. It is up to each enlightened person to radiate their light to those in need and in darkness around them.

I created this unique and multidimensional design to not only be enjoyed with the eyes, but to also allow for physical interaction with the artwork. The viewer will be pleasantly surprised at the softness and flexibility of the material once they venture to touch it. The shape of the flowing fabric is to celebrate the feminine form, as well as to recreate the voluminous shape of dresses from 18th and 19th centuries.

I created this unique and multidimensional design to not only be viewed with the eyes, but to allow for physical interaction as well. The soft turquoise fabric mimics the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean where I was born. But the girl from The Bahamas became a Florida girl, and fell in love with the gorgeous freshwater springs of Central Florida. I was able to combine my fondness of the beautiful Bahamian seas with the tranquility of the meandering Florida springs.
